Everybody's Getting a Summer Haircut!

Everyone needed summer haircuts and we decided at the spur of the moment that we would let EC get her hair cut off to her shoulders. Crazy! She has always had her hair long but she was super excited for the change.







And...we couldn't be more happier with our choice. Her hair looks much healthier and is much easier to deal with!

First Bonfire in the New Fire-pit

While Benjamin was gone to Europe Dad and I had a little project of our own. Dad had planned to cut down a few dead trees and we used those logs to set up a sitting area for a fire-pit. Benjamin has always wanted something like this but we have never had the time or money to work on it. He was super excited when he came back and saw what we had done. We couldn't wait to get friends over to help us break it in! ; )



The Finn's came over and Nathan worked his boy scout skills to start our massive fire. These boys and their love of making things 'blow up'! : )

This fire was the perfect end to our day. Some neighbors were putting on an awesome firework show so we enjoyed our coffee fireside watching the fireworks until 10 pm! The kids thought it was the best day ever!

4th of July!

We had the best spot watching fireworks this year from Joyner Park. It made it even more special when we ran into fun friends! : )
