Red Robin Birthday Treats!

Where do we always go for our birthday meals?! Where else, but Red Robin! They send us a voucher for a free meal for each of our birthday's so it's a no-brainer. The fun part is that Camp and I always get to celebrate together!

Oh, and their Banzai Burger with Whiskey River Sauce is to die for!

Science Experiment from Kids YouTube

Right now Emma Claire is all about science experiments she finds on Kids YouTube. She will watch them and try to duplicate them when she can. Look at this one she did by freezing water in a water bottle and then cutting the plastic off. Photo credits of Emma Claire Quinn. ; )

Camp's Birthday Camp Out

This year for Camp's birthday he decided that instead of having a party he would rather go on a camping trip with some of his close buddies and their dads. Here is the only picture I got from the camp out! ; )

What about those ribs?!

Early Birthday Gifts

When you've got a birthday coming up and you get packages in the mail you can't help but open at least one a few days early!!

Thanks, RaRa & PePaw, for the new boots! They will work perfect for my birthday camping trip tonight! -Camp

Mommy's Birthday in Myrtle Beach, Day 2

We needed to have a school day since we were skipping town in the middle of the week, right?! It called for a field trip to the aquarium.

Love this shot of my boys love the fish and my girl digging her head into a book to figure out what type of fish they are. : )

Can you see her blowing bubbles in the water on the bottom right?

Dawson absolutely LOVED the aquarium! He squealed the entire time we were there. The ENTIRE time!

SHARKS!!!

Of course touching the baby sharks and crab rays are always a hit.

We found Nemo and Dory! We also found the jellyfish tank. It was the neatest thing. They actually got to touch a real jellyfish which believe it or not felt just like soft jelly on top.

We went late night swimming and one of my fish couldn't quite hang...Bless it!

The beach water was too cold with the chilly morning breeze but we still had to stick our toes in the sand!

My crazy people! But their MY crazy people! ; )

We had a blast in Myrtle Beach! We can't wait to go back next time!!

Mommy's Birthday in Myrtle Beach, Day 1

For my birthday this year Benjamin had the opportunity to speak in Myrtle Beach, SC. They told him that they wouldn't be able to pay him to speak but they would be happy to put he and his family up into a hotel for two nights. Yum, YES we will! So off we headed!

First stop was California Dreaming for sure. Stephanie and Larry Lyon recommended this place to us a couple of years ago when we went to Myrtle Beach and we've been going back every time since. Their specialty salad with the hot bacon dressing and a croissant with honey on top is to die for!

Who doesn't love ice cream with a candle on your birthday?! ; )

While waiting on check-in time we made a quick stop by Bass Pro Shop. The kids loved this shooting arcade!

Dawson WILL NOT be outdone. ; )

Now look at this view! I could totally get used to this!

I'm guessing you can tell by the picture that the kids were pretty excited.

The best part?? The kids had their own room! Yes!

One of the members of the church where Benjamin was speaking owned not just this condo but the entire hotel and several others. What a blessing to be able to bless the church in that way by putting up their speakers. It's a win win all the way around!

The kids loved the lazy river but because it was on the roof of the 6th floor and it was in the mid 70's the breeze coming off the ocean made it too cool for this mommy! Even if it was a heated pool. ; )

It would be an awesome perk mid summer though!

Now this is more my speed! Heated indoor pools. ; )

It was pretty incredible that they had pools for all ages. Dawson loved that he got to swim independently!

A birthday treat for me was that I got to run on a treadmill inside while watching tv and over looking the ocean. It was quiet and I got the whole room to myself. Happy birthday to me!

You see that PH? Yup, that is where our room was. It could mean 'people here' but we like to think it means 'pent house'.

It was a great first day in Myrtle Beach!!
