Fun Times in Mississippi

Every fall we try to take a trip to Mississippi to visit family. It just so happened that this year the kids and I were able to go during Benjamin's fall break and he was able to devote the entire week to finishing up his dissertation. What a blessing!

He didn't get completely finished but he was able to get the bulk of it done and hopefully will be ready to turn it in before we leave for Christmas break. If he is able to do this, I have no doubt that this will be the BEST Christmas break EVER!

We arrived in MS on Friday night and first thing Saturday morning the spoiling began. ; )

Just look at those happy faces!!

We do it redneck style. ; )

Dawson and I didn't want to miss out on all the fun!

Same day. Different location. Same Spoiling going on. ; )

One of the main reasons we try to make it home as often as we can is because mine and Benjamin's grandparents are still living. We want to soak up every minute with them that we can and give our children the opportunity to know how wonderful their great grandparents are!

Although I LOVE our church beyond words I do miss that our children don't get the opportunity to be a part of things like AWANA. While we were home I took the kids to the AWANA program that I used to be a part of and they ate.it.up! Emma Claire has begged and begged to be apart of an AWANA program somewhere here. We might just have to check into that. : )

I am so thankful for the time we got to spend in Mississippi visiting family.
We all got spoiled. (including me : )
And Daddy got to finish the bulk of his dissertation.
Successful week indeed!
