Snow Fall #3!!

When the snow hit, it hit hard and FAST. They had been predicting it for days but it seemed to just keep circling around us. I was still at work when it started spitting snow and by the time I got home this is what the roads looked like.

Within just a few hours we already had a couple inches of snow on the ground. It was beautiful and still snowing.

By nightfall we had between 6 and 7 inches!

It hit Raleigh so fast that town turned into a scene from the Atlanta/Birmingham snow disaster just the week before. People were stuck in traffic for hours trying to get home, there were abandoned cars everywhere, and people were being placed in shelters in malls because they couldn't get home.

It looked like a zoo on the news.

During the night we got between 1/2 inch to 1 inch of ice which compacted the snow down and caused everything to be even more slick. Everyone was urged to stay home and we loved that we got to stay cuddled up in bed!

When Benjamin and the kids got back from sledding they were all completely soaked from head to toe. I don't know if you can tell but Emma Claire's hair is dripping wet.

Then that afternoon we another round of snow. It was SO beautiful coming down on the already snow covered ground.

Two days later we headed out to do more sledding before all the snow dried up and we all had a blast!

We had perfect hills for the kids in our neighborhood!

Look at all those happy faces!

Two of our neighbor friends, Peyton and Alayna.

Jonathan had a blast, too, and then they all decided to throw snowballs at the camera lady. ; 0

Who needs sleds when you have slick clothes on??

Cell Phone Pics....

Dawson looks excited to go out doesn't he?!

Two of my sweet boys...

What does momma do when my boy doesn't have any boots? Wrap them press-n-seal of course! Hey, it kept his feet dry!

This is the result of a lot of fun being had. After time in the snow we all came back for hot cocoa and a movie!

Love all these kiddos!
