40 Weeks Pregnant

I never thought I would make it to 40 weeks pregnant with Camp. Emma Claire was born at 37 weeks so we just expected him to come early too. My due date was set for September 18th so mom came up on the 6th to help in preperation for his arrival and we waited and we waited and we waited. All the signs were there for labor and I had been having mild contractions for two months so where was baby Camp?


The day before my due date, which was on a Thursday, I went to the doctor and was dialated to a two and half and 50% thinned out. She went ahead and stripped my membranes (OUCH!!!) in hopes that I would start labor on my own, but I had already had them stripped once and nothing had happened. I asked about going ahead and setting a date for induction because my family was already in town and I was miserable. I was expecting to hear 'well, lets wait just one more week.' Boy was I surprised when she said that I could come in on Monday morning and they would start the induction process!!!

I was sooooo excited!!! On Monday I will be able to meet my sweet baby boy. We have waited 9 long months to meet him and can't wait to see his sweet little face.
