She Doesn't Know It Yet, BUT....

We are on our way to DISNEY!!!

And she has NO clue.

She knows that we are headed to Orlando for a friends wedding but hasn't put it together yet that Disney is also in Orlando.



Road trips always require a stop at Cracker Barrel!

Telling your child that you are taking them to Disney for the first time is such a climactic moment that you spend more time planning the moment than it actually lasts. I had searched the internet for hours exploring different ideas and finally landed on writing her a book to read on our trip down. Benjamin and I wrote it in simple form that she could read and then bound it leaving the pages for her to draw the illustrations.

Then the moment finally came. 

My heart was pounding so fast. 

I wasn't nervous...

I was just OVERJOYED about telling her one of her fairytale dreams of meeting the princesses was about to come true.

At first she was kind of in shock and trying to take it all in. She was in disbelief that we were really going to go inside of Disney's gate. 

I think you can tell from the picture below that she was THRILLED once she figured it all out. I am so thankful that we waited to tell her because once she got excited she asked a billion questions about Disney and what all we were going to do.

On a side note, we also waited to tell her because we didn't want her talking about it in front of Camp. We had decided that he just wasn't quite old enough to go; besides the fact that he is terrified of anything in a costume. Can you imagine? It would have been a horror story for him! 

We do plan to go back and take the boys once they are little older. This trip was just ALL about princesses! : )

Who can sleep when we are on our way to Disney!?! I had to wake them up just to see us driving through the gate. Come on people.



We stayed at the Pop Century Resort and it was great! It was one of the cheaper resorts but very clean and the staff was very helpful. More pictures of the hotel to come.










Emma Claire didn't know it but look who meet us there! Oh, boy. This girl was on cloud nine. Just wait until you see the pictures of her first day at Magic Kingdom...
