Happy Birthday, Emma Claire
What a Day!
We began to party from the first steps out of the bed! We woke Emma Claire up for school, dressed her in her special "Number 3" shirt that RaRa got for her, and ate a quick breakfast. For a special treat she was getting to go to work with Daddy for a bit so that Mommy could go to school to set up for her birthday party. At her request, we had everything PINK!. We got donuts with pink icing and sprinkles on them, pink plates, pink napkins, a special "Happy Birthday" crown with pink on it, and pink balloons.
She was so excited when she came into school. Her teachers had even hung a special sign for her on the door for her Birthday. As everyone came in we enjoyed our donuts and juice. It was such a bitter sweet moment. It was so exciting and fun to celebrate her birthday with her friends, but so sad to see her growing up so fast. She is growing into such a beautiful little girl. Her bright red hair has turned into a light brownish red. Her chunky little body is now turned into a tall lean little body. She has gone from saying "Ma-Ma" and "Da-Da" to telling her own long imaginative stories. BUT, she still has those big, beautiful, large brown, muscadine eyes that can get you every time. Oh, how I want to cherish every moment with her. I just want to soak it up like a sponge so I don't miss a thing!
After a fun filled day at school we still weren't through celebrating yet. It was such a beautiful day outside that we decided to spend the afternoon playing on the playground with our friends. Emma Claire had such a great time playing with her friends and letting out some stored up energy. So much energy, that when we got in the van to leave she fell asleep before we got out of the parking lot.
After we left school it was so late in the afternoon that we decided to go pick up Daddy from work and head to Applebee's to continue the celebration. We had such a wonderful dinner as a family. Even Camp was enjoying sitting around the table being silly. After Emma Claire finished her broccoli the server brought her a bowl of ice cream with chocolate syrup, cool whip, and a cherry. She was so excited that it was just for her. I think she scarfed it down as quick as she could just so that she didn't have to share. It was gone in minutes!
After we got home we were still celebrating! She hadn't even opened any of her presents yet. I won't go into detail about what all she got because there are plenty of pictures to see all of her gifts. BUT, let me just say she was extremely blessed and got plenty. ; )
Oh, what a day! We celebrated from sun up to sun down, literally. I can't believe my baby girl is growing up so fast, but I am so glad that I get to spend every moment with her. I can't wait to see what this year holds for my Sweet Emma Claire!
P.S. On Saturday morning we were still celebrating! We had special pink chocolate chip pancakes and donuts with pink icing for breakfast!

Opening her gift from NaNa and Uncle Jerry. It was a Barbie dress and a matching one for her little Barbie. Do you think she liked it? Check out those socks.
We headed outside with PePaw and RaRA on the computer so they could see her get her gift from them. It was a bike!! And a helmet with knee pads! I was very surprised, but she just jumped right on there and started riding it!

The morning after her birthday she still had one more gift to open for PePaw and RaRa. It was a Dora Movie...........AND she was in it!!!!! It was called "Who's Birthday Is It?".
