A New Addition

Well, we got an interesting surprise this week!

On Tuesday and Wednesday I was feeling a bit queezy and not quite myself.  I knew I was a couple days past my monthly so I decided take a pregnancy test just make sure that everything was okay. Boy was I surprised when I got a big fat positive! Lets just say that I was quit a mess that afternoon but nonetheless I was still excited that God had blessed us with another miracle. I quickly threw some banana bread in the bread machine to celebrate with Benjamin when he got off work.

When he walked in the door from work I yelled from down the hall that I had something in the oven and would he please check on it for me. When he opened the oven this is what he saw... a bun in the oven.

He was very excited, but both very surprised. I went to the doctor yesterday to make sure that everything was okay before we told the kids and our family. Until we have our ultrasound to confirm the date the due date is set for July 6th.

Here was Emma Claire's response when we told her. Click Here to watch the video.

We covet your prayers over the next couple of months and are very excited about our new addition.

2011 North Carolina State Fair

The North Carolina State Fair!!! I'm not sure who was more excited, me or Emma Claire! We love the fair and all that goes along with it; the wonderful family time, the good eats, hanging out friends, and the excitement of riding all the rides.

We were so glad that the Lyon's decided to go with us this year! The girls and parents had an absolute blast. (Camp had fun, too!)

The guys could. not. wait. to get to all the food. It was a our very first stop. Just look at all their fried choices!

Left: Camp was such a good boy all night. Right: Emma Claire and Anna Kate didn't waste anytime hitting all the rides either!

Left: Time for a roller coaster! Right: Camp even got to ride it too! He was saying cheese in this picture but all you could see was his little eyes. Benjamin rode with his hand over Camp's mouth because he kept hitting it on the bar.

Left: Just look at those faces!

Right: Dancing with Daddy to some of the live music.

Can you tell how excited the girls were!?

Left: Emma Claire won a prize at one of the games. Right: Camp loved getting to see all the animals

Left: Anna Kate and Emma Claire checking out the rabbits. Right: Emma Claire was so sweet to share her treat with Camp.

Time for mine and Steph's treat! We couldn't wait to get a funnel cake and warm apple cider.

What a perfect end to the night?! We got to watch the huge firework show on the bridge overlooking the water before we left.

Let's just say we stayed a lot later than planned. It was 11:30 pm before we got the kids home and in the bed. They were zonked.

We had such a great time and can't wait until next year!
