Fall Festival at LLLC

This year for the fall festival I had an Awesome Alabama Football Player and a Beautiful Butterfly!

How fun is it that all the teachers dressed up, too!

Camp didn't care anything about the big slides and bounce house, but he would have played in this pool all day long!

It's impossible to get a serious picture with Camp! That boy just makes me laugh!

Whew. Trying to get 3 kids to all look in the same direction for a picture. Crazy.

These were some of the pictures we took while prepping for Dawson's birth announcement.

They make my heart melt...

Daddy/Daughter Smores Night & Camp Out

For weeks Emma Claire and Benjamin have been planning to have a daddy/daughter camp out but the weather has just not cooperated. Finally this Friday the weather seemed like it was going to be perfect and we didn't have any plans so they began their planning.

First up was borrowing a tent from the Mason's and getting it set up. It took all 4 of us to get it put together!

Benjamin decided that it would be fun to invite some friends over for smores and hot chocolate before the camp out. Thanks to RaRa they were stocked up on all the goodies they would need!

Who says putting a tent up is easy?! I was trying my hardest to get this tarp over the top so they wouldn't get wet if it rained but somehow I ended up on the ground wrapped up in the silly thing!

These two were so proud of their tent and fire!

That, my friends, is not a smore for amateurs. It was HUGE.

They had such a fun night on their daddy/daughter dates!
Left: Larry, Anna Kate, and Abby Lyon. Right: Josh, Kate, and Molly Reed.

Of course Camp had to sneak out for some smores!

I think the Daddy's had just as much fun as the girls!

While the daddy and daughters were having fun outside, Steph and I enjoyed catching up inside and giving sweet Dawson some snuggles!

After everyone left Benjamin and Emma Claire bunkered down in the tent to watch some 'smookey' movies. (as Emma Claire calls them) *Thanks to Benjamin for snapping these pics for me!

At about 9am the next morning I snuck outside to grab these pics. Those two birds were still sleeping!

It wasn't long and we started to see some movement!

Daddy/Daughter Camp Out = SUCCESS!!

They both had such a wonderful time!

*What you don't see is that during the smores night it began to sprinkle. It wasn't enough to ruin the fun but when it was time to go to bed in the tent the bottom fell out. I think Benjamin used every towel I had to soak up in the water in the tent so they could still camp! After a while it stopped and it ended up being the perfect night to camp! I'm so thankful because I know one little girl who would have been heartbroken. ; )
