Guess Who Is Reading in Camp's Class Today...

He looks so proud and excited!

15 Month Check-Up for Dawson

We have a very healthy & active 15 month old!

Dawson's Stats Are:

Weight: 28 lbs 6.5 oz  (99.5 %)
Height: 32.5 inches  (94 %)
Head Circ.: 48 cm  (84%)

Looks like we are going to have another big boy on our hands! ; 0

*We have had trouble getting rid of ear infections the last several weeks. Dr Rule has been so sweet to work very hard on it with us and said if he gets one more infections she will send us for tubes. Hoping we have seen the last of them!

Neighbor Love

I love that we have neighbors that will text and say, "hey, I'm making something yummy, I'll bring some over and we can have it for breakfast!".

So fun.

And just look at Camp's audience as he plays boxing on the Wii. Ladies man.

We love the Saunders.

Snow Fall Number 2!

Can you believe we got another snow!? This one was a little deeper than the other. I believe we got around 3 1/2 inches!

The day we had expected the 'big' snow Wake County dismissed school all day in hopes of not getting stuck at the school with the children when it started. So you better believe that all day we had this big anticipation of when it was going to hit. The sun had come and gone and we were still waiting on the snow...

I sent the picture below of Camp into WRAL with the caption, "Where's the Snow?!"

Well when we got up the next morning this is what welcomed us! For the kids it was so worth the wait. My little snow bunnies couldn't wait to go outside and play.

They couldn't believe how covered everything was!

They spent hours sledding down this hill (or ditch)  with their sleds. : )

And its even MORE fun when we have lots of kids in the neighborhood to enjoy it with. Can I just tell you how much I love that they have so many buddies to play with. It keeps them active and busy! : )

You can't have snow without have snow cream. With added chocolate of course!

Dawson was happy to enjoy the snow from right here. He probably sat here at hour watching them sled and play.

Camp's Art Show

I love this day every year. It makes me smile to see all of the fun stuff my kids have been working on in their classroom.

This year it was all about Camp since Emma Claire is in Track-Out and Dawson is still in the infant room. And this is a pretty big deal. Camp doesn't care a thing about doing any type of art. One day at Christmas camp I heard him crying in his classroom and it was all because it was time to go to art and he just wanted to stay and play with the cars. He said, "Mommy, I don't won't to go make one of those Christmas trees. I just want to play with cars and balls." He's my boy for sure! Emma Claire has always been the complete opposite.

Just look at all this cute stuff he made!

Even if he didn't enjoy doing it he did enjoy showing it off. ; )

We made a quick stop by the Discovery and Music tables, too. This rocket is the kids favorite every year hands down.

We ran into sissy and Camp could not wait to show her all of his art. She was so sweet to pay attention to each piece and tell him how good it all was.

So thankful for this sweet boy and all his hard work! I love you, Campbell Schafers Quinn!

Guess Who Lost ANOTHER Tooth!?

We didn't think this tooth was EVER going to fall out. Actually it didn't. Shhhh! Mommy may or may not have given it a little tug when I was looking at it. ; )

Either way, the tooth fairy will be visiting tonight!

Making Snow Cream w/ Friends

We made chocolate and peanut butter this time. YUM!

Our First Snow at the New House

The kids were beyond excited when they woke up Wednesday morning and saw all the beautiful snow on the ground! They could.not.wait. to get outside and play in it.

You know the drill. We took 30 minutes to get everyone really bundled up to play outside and they spent a total of 15 minutes outside before they were ready to come back in and warm up. : )

One of their favorite parts was the snow covered trampoline.

Dawson was not so much a fan. I decided to not put gloves on him thinking he would just get them all wet in the snow and it would make his hands even colder. He just couldn't understand why his hands were 'burning' from the cold. Poor buddy. Maybe next year.

Poor guy cried for 30 minutes until I wrapped his hands in a warm cloth to get them warm.

We have perfect ditches for sledding. They are just high enough that the kids can do it themselves and not worry about them getting hurt.

When we moved into our neighborhood the neighbors had told us that they always seem get more snow on this side of town than the other side where we used to live. This snow proved their theory. We got quite a bit more snow than the dusting our old neighborhood got.

Time for snow angels!

Bottom Right: They worked hard to gather us some clean snow for our snow cream!
