Last Night in Gatlinburg

For our last night in Gatlinburg we decided to enjoy the downtown streets in the ❤️ of the city. As many times as I've been to Gatlinburg I can't ever think of a time that I've walked downtown after dark. It was pretty incredible and made the place seem even more 'magical' than it already is! 😉

And just for kicks the two bigs wanted funny pictures! ;)

We also found our favorite ice cream stop!

Chimney Rock State Park

Of all the things we've done in Gatlinburg, most of which cost money, the kids most favorite thing to do was to play in the mountain creeks. So today we went to do some exploring at Chinney Rock State Park. It was a huge hit.

The scenery was just incredible!

I could have sat there and listened to the rushing water for hours!

Little S even had a blast watching the others slip and slide on those slippery wet rocks! 😜

The water was so clear and beautiful. And COLD!

This will definitely be a reoccurring stop of Team Quinn!

A Trip to The Apple Barn

We ventured out to The Apple Barn today! As many times as I've been to Gatlinburg I've never been and it was SO yummy! Check out these Apple Fritters they brought out with the apple butter. SO good!!

I guess you could say it was good because we cleaned our plates. One thing I will say is they give you A LOT of food for the money and they also give you free refills on your sides. A 5 star rating from Team Quinn!

We also stopped in at the Christmas store and saw a familiar face...

Here's an attempt at a family selfie. 😂

Love these people!

The kids even spent their money to buy Apple Barn pencils with erasers... A whole 65 cents!

More adventures to come tomorrow!

Adventures in Gatlinburg

We found this fun creek in Gatlinburg so of course we had to stop and play in it for a bit. ;) The rocks were so slippery and there were quite a few falls so needless to say a few nameless children had to ride back to the cabin in their birthday suit. ;)

They couldn't believe how cold the water was!

Mrs. Elaine's Meatballs

I had to post this recipe for my kids to have because these are the best meatballs EVER! And this recipe made about 3 9x13 pans of them. (You could probably squeeze them into 2 though.)

Mrs. Elaine Stockdale would make these for our family when I was small if someone was sick or there was a death in the family. They were so good that I can still think back on times I had them. My kids ❤️ meatloaf and meatballs so I knew they would ❤️ these!

I made them this week and needless to say they were a huge hit!!

Stephen's 4 Month Stats!

I can't believe how quickly this little man is growing! He surprised us all today at his 4 month check-up.

Weight: 16 lbs 4 oz (59%)
Height: 25 inches (30%)
Head Circum: 44 cm (96%)

Looks like we aren't on the small spectrum anymore! ; )

Young Birds

Mom sent me this picture of Gran-Gran and Pops today! The shadow on Gran-Gran made her look like she has a beehive on her head! 😂😂😂
I think mom looks just like her and my cousin, Reid, looks just like Pops!

Camp or Emma Claire???

We were sitting out at the barn earlier and the kids totally got me. It had already turned dusky dark and this figure came walking towards me that I 'thought' was Emma Claire. But guess who it was..... 😂😂😂

They thought it was quite hilarious! If it weren't for the height difference they could pull it off even better!

This is how they 'think' each other stands. I think Camp nailed it!

My Dad & a Motorcycle

I never imagined that I would be sitting at my sewing machine sewing patches on a leather motorcycle vest for my dad...BUT I did! He is apart of a legion and absolutely loves it.

He is chaplain of the Color Guard for the American Legion Riders. And Sargeant-At-Arms for the American Legion Post.

He even got to say a prayer at one of their events!

Check out all those patches! 😉

We are so proud of our Dr. Quinn! This is such an accomplishment for him and SO well deserved!

I have to say a big thanks to our friends, Shannon Battles and Ashlee Evans, for snapping these pics for me! I was standing in the back with Stephen and couldn't get a good shot. These pics are priceless!
