First TWO Teeth!

I'll have to snag a picture soon but I didn't want to forget to mark this big day! Fletcher is now the proud owner of two new bottom teeth!

Duke Children's Infectious Disease

Today we spent 3 1/2 hours at Duke Children's Infectious Disease to run some tests on little Fletcher. Fletcher was exposed to Hepatitis C from his birth mother so although he is testing positive for the antibodies we need to confirm whether or not he actually has the infection in his little body or if he is carrying moms antibodies.

After seeing multiple nurses, 2 different doctors and going to have labs done they have determined that he does have the antibodies in his system but he currently does NOT have the infection in his body! Praise the Lord!!

We are going to continue being careful with any blood (because that is how is passes; blood to blood contact) until he is 18 months old. At that point they will retest to make sure that the antibodies from his bio mom have passed through his system and that he is still negative from the infection. If all is clear at that point then they will consider him 100% clear of Hepatitis C!

Upward Basketball Tryouts Today!

Although Benjamin and I both played basketball Emma Claire and Camp haven't been exposed to it much. Today were tryouts and I was super proud of them! They both worked hard and did their best in everything they were asked to do. Can't wait to see how much they learn this season and hopefully they will love it as much as we did!
