A Week @ New Life Camp

My girl was so excited to go spend her very first week at New Life Camp! Each day she got to experience all sorts of new things like archery, canoeing, going to the craft cabin, swimming, and lots more! So thankful for all the fun she had and getting to do it with friends!

It's Runner's Camp Week!!

My kids look forward to Runner's Camp all year long! This year was an even bigger deal because they both got to go. Camp was excited to try something new and Emma Claire was excited to show him the ropes! ; )

So thankful for their leaders who will be pouring into them all week long!

*I'm SO sad!! When I grabbed my camera card to post the pictures from their track meet my camera card was broken. They are lost forever! ; ( They did SO great and I had some awesome pics. I'm gonna go cry now...

Who is this Child?!?!

Hannah and I took the girls to the Tea Room in Wake Forest for lunch one day and Emma Claire was on one. She was super talkative, cracking jokes, and totally out of character for herself. Hannah, Branna, and I just laughed at her the whole time. Unfortunately this is the only picture I have but we had a great time!!

A Day at the 'Beach'

When Brandon, Hannah and the kids were coming to visit we had told the kids that we would 'try' to drive over to the beach one day. It's only about a 2 1/2 drive so we could make a day trip out of it. Even though it was 4th of July weekend and would be crazy we planned to try it anyway.

BUT... then we started hearing about all the shark attacks that were going on around the east coast. I mean like... LOTS of them... in very shallow water. So... when we got up this morning instead of making a 2 1/2 hr road trip to the beach we drove 10 minutes over to Sandling Beach instead. The kids didn't even know the difference! They were so excited to see a 'beach'. Score!!

It was a day full of sand castles and playing in the water. The kids had a blast and the weather was perfect! Overcast and not too hot.

Can you tell how closely the dads are watching the children?? Yea, that's why we moms can't read a book! ; 0

Can you believe we had most of the beach to ourselves on 4th of July weekend?!

They really are BEST BUDS!
