100th Day of Kindergarten

Emma Claire was so excited about the 100th Day of Kindergarten. They had been talking it up since the first day of school and she was counting down the days until it got here. They were all suppose to wear 100 of something that day so we had to get creative.  : )

Lucky for her, her mom has an embroidery machine. We were able to embroidery 100th Day of Kindergarten and then paint our hands and Dawson's feet on it.

We each did two sets of our hands and D's feet and had 100 fingers and toes! I love that it's a shirt we can put up and keep. She was so proud of her creation.

Mrs. Streit and Mrs. Ferrell had worked hard to decorate the room, too!

They had all types of things planned to celebrate their day. First on the roster was a parade down the hall and then outside to release 100 beautiful balloons. It was so fun to celebrate this with all the parents.

They took some time to recite some Bible verses they had memorized, do their pledges to the American Flag, Christian Flag, and Bible, and then spend some time in prayer before they released the balloons.

It was such a beautiful sight!

It was such a sweet time for all of us to be there. : )

Mrs. Ferrell had 100 smarties on her coat and made a sign that said, "I survived 100 days of school with these sweet smarties". Isn't that adorable!

Williamsburg Getaway

While my parents were here visiting for Emma Claire's birthday Benjamin and I snuck away for a quick getaway to Williaiamsburg, VA.

We had bought a Groupon almost a year ago for this trip but were just now getting around to being able to take and boy did we NEED it. With just having a baby, Benjamin teaching, and traveling for the holidays we just needed some time to rest and enjoy each other.

We stayed at the Colonial Crossings in Williamsburg and the accommodations were wonderful. We had not planned much to do because honestly we just wanted to relax.

We ate, slept, ate, enjoyed exercising in the gym, ate, slept, walked around downtown, ate, slept. Did I mention that mostly all we did were eat really good and sleep?

Check out this awesome room!

This was yumminess!!! Of course we had dessert after every meal. : )

Benjamin was trying his best to gather some wisdom from the fellas for his research.

The scenery and atmosphere were so calm and relaxing. Just what we needed.

Amazing to see the places where these historic men actually sat.

Thank you Ra Ra & PePaw for watching the kids so we could get away for a few days! We had such a wonderful time!
