Easter Egg Hunt

Whenever there is a holiday there is always celebration!
Emma Claire and her class had a picnic lunch outside before they headed over to a nice grassy spot to have their class egg hunt.

When there is a party there are ALWAYS cupcakes! : )

These next few pictures are very funny to me because of a conversation Emma Claire and I had early in the week. We have always thought that Emma Claire didn't really have a competitive sports spirit in her but I think that is only because she didn't understand the concept of competing. Earlier this week we were talking about some random game and it was like a light bulb switched with her. She said 'you mean, when you're playing a game everyone is wanting to win?!' I said, 'yea, everyone is competing to win.' It was like she grasped the concept of being competitive.

With that being said, you can see in these next few pictures how she took off and and was doing her best to gather her eggs as quickly as possible. They could only have 12 so every few minutes she would stop to do a quick egg count.

Her sweet little class!

I got to help with Camp's egg hunt which was lots of fun!

At first he wouldn't pick up any eggs because he knew they weren't the ones he brought. Once I explained to him that he was suppose to pick up any he found he was OFF!

It's always fun when the dump truck comes by and blows his horn!

My little stinker!

After the hunt they got to have cupcakes and apple slices!

What a fun day with both my kiddos!

Easter Programs

Since they have started splitting the musicals into three different programs we get to take time to enjoy each child by themselves which is really special. Of course before we went into school we had to stop and have a quick photo shoot at their favorite spot!

If you remember Camp's Christmas program he was a complete ham, but in this years Easter Program for whatever reason he became the quiet shy kid! I didn't get any video because this is exactly what he did. He sat in JuJu's lap for a while and then he just stood along side his friends for a while. Actually, to give him a little credit no one sang in this program at all. I'm not sure why but they all just stood there watching the music teacher sing her heart out.

After the program was over they all walked back to class and got stickers for behaving so well. Camp was super proud to show me his new sticker!

Then is was time for the big kids program! Emma Claire loves to sing (loud) and she loves to dance. Her program was the perfect combo for her.

She sang every word, did every motion, and even added in a few dance moves that weren't suppose to be in the program.
Click the following links to watch two of her songs. Notice that as the beat picks up so does her hip movement. : ) Video 1, Video 2

I got several comments after the program and the next day about how people enjoyed watching her 'perform' and that she definitely enjoyed being on stage. Her teachers have actually told me we should get her into some acting classes. Maybe I should take their advice! ; 0

I was so proud of my babies and the work they put into their programs today. They were both SO cute in there own special ways. ; )

Franklin County Airport

While Poppa and GG were here Emma Claire's class had a field trip to the Franklin County Airport so GG and James got to tag along!

Just look at all those butttons! I'm sure it was killing her not to touch them. : )

Right: Even the big kids got to play!

Her sweet little class in their shirts.
