Atlanta Getaway

Getting to travel with Daddy is always fun but getting to meet up with friends is even better!! This week we got to meet up with our friends the Parkers and even have adjoining hotel rooms!

Jacob and Camp thought the view was pretty amazing. They loved watching all the cars go by.

We served breakfast to all 7 kids in our room and then loaded them up to tackle Ikea for the first time!  The free childcare for all kiddos who are potty trained is pretty incredible. Katie and I totally took advantage of getting to have some girl time.

We found more friends! 9 kids in an elevator is a total party. ; )

Love that we all can pick up right where we left off. It's like the months and miles in between us don't exist!

While Katie and the kids went to visit some other friends I took the kiddos to LegoLand. They were SO excited!

I have to say it was pretty incredible. It put my lego building skills to shame! ; )

The kids wanted to get a picture in front of the Braves Stadium for Daddy!

I think this 3D show was their highlight! They had 4 fifteen minute shows and we sat through all 4 of them! ; )

This dog look so real!

After Legoland we meet back up at the hotel and walked over to the hotel next door to ride their amazing elevator. Don't worry, I didn't compromise my fear of heights. Mommy kept her feet on the ground. ; )

A few more hugs before the Parker's had to hit the road home. We love them SO much and can't wait to see them next time!

Bottom Right: They look SO much alike when they are sleeping!

Having extra time means we get to experiment with new hairstyles! ; )

After Uncle Ross & Aunt Katie headed back to SC we ventured out to explore Atlanta. (We do have Dawson tucked away in the stroller ; )

The coke plant had all these fun ornaments outside for Christmas.

We also met up with more friends and visited the Georgia Aquarium which is the #1 Aquarium in the US.

Emma Claire and Camp loved it but Dawson was just mesmorized by the walk through tunnel.  By the characters? Not so much. He didn't want anywhere close to them!

Emma Claire said she had to have her picture taken next to the MS sign!

The highlight of the day was the amazing dolphin show. We weren't allowed to take pictures but it was just incredible. I literally teared up during one point of the performance. It was that good.

They loved the outside elevator...I loathed it.

Having Build-a-Bear gift cards from RaRa & PePaw also meant a fun trip to the mall.

They were pretty thrilled with their choices!

We've had such a wonderful week but now it's time to head home! Daddy has to stay a few more days to finish up work but we've got to head home and get ready for RaRa and PePaw!

We stopped in at a Wal-Mart to grab a new Redbox movie for the ride home and Dawson said...'Take my picture with this beautiful tree, Mommy!"

He was such a trooper on the way home. Never made a peep and kept a happy heart which was huge to this mommy on the 7.5 hr trip home!

We had one last stop before we got home. Everybody got to pick out a treat for being so good!
