Young Living Silver Retreat 2015

Young Living is simply amazing and blesses their employees beyond measure! I got the opportunity to go on this years Silver Retreat in Park City/Salt Lake City, Utah (which was all expenses paid might I add!) with several of my friends and it was beyond amazing.

So get ready for a picture overload because it was that great of a time! ; )

Delta Airlines, Economy Class with my own personal TV. Yup, I think I can deal!

The only way to fly! ; )

The mountains were stunning! Nothing like I had ever seen before in the east.

After I got picked up and taken to the resort I was assigned I was in awe of their generosity. My room was HUGE and could have fit our entire family into it. After I had arrived I really wished I had brought Benjamin along with me. He would have LOVED it. Even if he never left the resort!

It had an entry way, two bathrooms, a living room, and a full kitchen.

I was so excited to meet my friend Amber there and get to spend a couple of days with her. We went to high school together but she was a couple years older than I and we just didn't run in the same circles. It was time to head to the formal cocktail dinner for the evening.

The hotel was gorgeous and everything was set up pretty swanky for our evening. ; )

This was the location for the event and was about 30 minutes or so from our resort in the mountains.

The next day was training day! They had several fun giveaways and speakers come in to share about the company. It was so much fun to run into even more friends that came from other states! Love how Young Living brings us all back together!

I stole Amber's collage from the dinner! ; )

For the rest of the post the pictures will probably be a bit out of order. I have taken my pictures along with Amber's and Rachael's and added them here.

I will go on record to say that the food they served was not the best.  Of course everything was super healthy and also cooked in olive oil which I could not eat. SO on training day a couple of us snuck out for lunch and found this amazing little pub called The Green Pig Pub. The burgers were AMAZING!

The picture to the bottom left is of a Ningxia Red bar that they had set up. They would give you little shots of the health drink with different flavors of oils mixed in. I didn't find one that I loved over just plain ole' Ningxia. It's the best!

The first half of training day was great! Second half....not so much. There was a so called 'specialist' there that talked about personality traits and tried to tell me that I was half bear and half horse. Yea...you get the picture. SO...the jungle cat in me (which he said I totally was not) snuck out and all of these friends followed! We called for Uber and went to spend the rest of the day by the pool and in downtown Park City.

See Monique on the bottom right?! She is one of our Royal Crown Diamonds (that means she IS somebody) and we just adore her. She did a scavenger hunt and Amber and I won her book for free! And let me just say she is as sweet in person as she is in all of her videos she posts on Facebook and Periscope.

Get in my belly! Our hotel had the best breakfast hands down. AND Starbucks! Winner winner chicken dinner!

Bottom left is proof that I posted about meeting Monique and she commented on my post. I was a little giddy; )

We are headed out for farm day and to visit corporate!

We rode these buses everywhere..... BUT check out that scenery. It was just breathtaking!

I could definitely take a trip back here!

Corporate!!

The Royal Crown Diamond wall...we WILL be here one day! Ha! ; )

This sweet lady on the bottom right is Mary Young's (who owns YL's) mother. She was so cute walking around there!

We got to visit the store that they have located there on the farm. Lots of goodies to be had and some that were out of stock which was a perk!

We ran into Lindsay Moreno, another Royal Crown Diamond of ours. It was great that she took the time to come out and meet us all.

Next stop was the distillery. It was AMAZING to see how all the oils were made and cared for. It really brought to light the seed to seal promise that Young Living has and just how pure their oils really are.

They are steaming the oils in the picture below in the distillery. It has to be just at the perfect temperature to not destroy the oils. Such detail in every part of their work.

The little machine on the bottom left is what they can use to 'press' the oils out of the plant. Then they are able to look inside the tool on the right to see what 'grade' it is. (I hope I'm right on that. I'm 80% sure. ; )

The fields went on FOREVER!

A selfie with the Clary Sage!!!

One of the neatest parts was getting to plant our own lavender in the lavender fields. You never know! You may get a bottle of the lavender I planted!

Aren't the mountains stunning behind the lavender fields!?!?

Okay, here's the most interesting part of the trip. Right there in the middle of the farm is an arena for jousting tournaments. Gary Young (who previously owned YL before his wife took over) loves to joust and wanted to put on a show for us. Weird, right?!? Yea, that's what I said. BUT I was sucked right in! It was SO fun and wildly entertaining!

We even got lucky and got to sit right next to Mary Young herself! She grinned like that the entire time. You could tell she was so proud of her husband and continually loved on her son while he sat next to her.

Gary won! Wahoo!! ; )

On Sunday the trip came to an end. I had such a wonderful time and loved every minute of spending time with my friends. These memories will last a lifetime because of the impact Young Living has had on our lives. Especially as a family.

Now the next few pictures are totally random so... just enjoy!!

We did the Lemondropper Hop in the Lavender Fields!!

I took the picture on the bottom left to show you how small the last plane I flew on was. Claustrophobia at it's best! And I was in the very last seat. So thankful for the gentleman who sat next to me and continued to ask questions so I wouldn't go cRaZy!

The picture on the bottom right is of myself and my dear friend, Rachael. She and I became friends while she and her husband attended seminary in Wake Forest. It was so fun to run into her at the retreat!

Why, yes!! We did have a chef at our hotel. He made us omelets to order every morning! So, so good!

Young Living also gave us these awesome swag bags with some free goodies inside!

Us with Mary Young....and the creeper over my shoulder! ; 0

Our hotel was just breathtaking...

Below we are pictured with Jared Turner. I don't know his official title but he is the out front spokesman for Young Living.

The awesome view in downtown Park City and another shot with THE Jared Turner.

We are SILVERS!! ; )

More shots of our hotel...The Hyatt Escala Lodge in Park City.

Can you tell we like to take pictures of our food??

I can't say thank you enough to Young Living!! Can't wait to see you next year at the GOLD Retreat!!  ; )
