Visiting Pullen Park in April

I cannot believe that we have lived here for 10 years and haven't made a trip down to Pullen Park. Everyone of us LOVED it.

They really thought of everything in the design and it's perfect for kiddos of all ages. It made it an even better treat to enjoy it with friends!

This carousel was beautiful and it was indoors which made it even better.

My riding buddy wasn't so sure what he thought about the carousel! ; )

YES I DID!! The kids were begging to go take a ride on the pond on the paddle boats. I ALMOST backed out when the guy mentioned that we might see a few snakes. : / Thankfully, we did not.

Isn't it just beautiful?! This was a highlight for all of us. (Except my thighs. I literally thought they were going to explode. Let's just say the next morning I moved a little slower than normal. ; )

Andie, was so brave taking sweet Cora out! (She may have only taken one loop in fear that Cora was going to jump out! : )

My little helper trying his best to help me paddle!

The train was a favorite for all!

Definitely the highlight of the day for my boy!

We had climbers all around. Look how good they were all doing!

We will certainly be coming back here for sure. It's clean, has something for all ages, and is next to nothing to enjoy!

On a side note, on the way home we had to make a quick stop at the movie theater to pick up some Dippin' Dots. Emma Claire made a 100 on a math test and this was the reward she chose!

A Little Baseball Time!

It's almost time for #7 to hit that ball! We love our Alabama Crimson Tide!!

We sure look the part but we don't always play the part. ; ) Today Camp got the chance to play pitcher which he has been begging Coach to let him play. However, we had a little trouble staying focused.

See the picture below where he is beginning to squat down? Well.... he is actually in the midst of a moonwalk that he did all the way from 1st base to 3rd base all while the game continues to go on.  That boy won't do! He was more impressed with the pictures he could draw in the dirt than the actual game going on. Oh well, he had fun! : )

Sweet Mr. Brown

Remember our sweet landlord, Mr. Brown, from when we first moved to NC? He is the best! He now lives in the retirement home across the street from our church and Benjamin goes to hang out with him on Tuesday nights before we have small group. Love him! I just hope that I get around as good as he does when I'm about 90. AND he still drives! He's just precious.

Backseat Conversations

As we are riding down the road I hear Camp tell Emma Claire...

"Sissy your breath stinks so bad my ears went numb."

Yes, I rolled in the front seat and I totally think Emma Claire got the point. Good one Camp! ; )

Camping Out With Daddy

Last night the Benjamin and the kids were planning to camp out in the backyard but it was a little too wet. Next best option...the back porch! ; )

They were trying to be silly and act like they were sleeping. ; )

Looks like the night was a success! ; ) That eye mask though. It's just to much!

Another Day of Baseball!

Guess who got to play catcher tonight?! Mommy was so proud! I got a few flashbacks from back in the day. ; )

*Side note: If you didn't know Mommy played catcher for our fast & slow pitch teams in high school. ; )

Camp was so excited to get to catch. He has been asking his coach every game if it was his turn to yet. It was more definitely more his speed! He gets so board standing out in the field. Especially the outfield.

Then guess where he moved to... short stop! He got to play both mommy and daddy's spot in the same game. ; )

He got two great hits this game, too! Not to mention he was also playing one of his best buddies. One of his favorite games for sure!

Dawson is always quick to find a buddy to play with!

Also guess who got their picture in the paper from the opening ceremony?! That's my Camp right there on the front. Go Alabama Crimson Tide! : )
