Donuts with Dad (& PePaw : )

Today at school Emma Claire had Donuts w/ Dad. What a fun treat to have all the dads come to school!

I think Benjamin looks a bit like a monkey in this picture. : )

Daddy's Girl!

Emma Claire and her best buddy, Bella!

*Emma Claire is wearing the outfit her daddy brought her from Taiwan. She's been begging to wear it so we thought that Donuts w/ Dad would be the perfect occasion.

What a special treat that PePaw was in town and got to go share in the special day with them!

Such a special day for Emma Claire!

The Boys First Stomach Bug

This was pitiful.

Both of my sweet boys caught a stomach bug that lasted for about 12 hours. Thankfully no else got it but I felt so bad for them.

Dawson NEVER falls asleep on the floor like this by himself. So sad. Just look at those sickie eyes.

This was my view for two nights. ; (

Camp was such a trooper though. He never cried. He would just sit up, get sick, and then lay right back down.

So thankful they both handled it so well and everyone is well now!

Now, go away stomach bug. You are not welcome here! Leave my boys alone.

She Loves Her Brother

Emma Claire loves her brother!

She drew him this during Life Change this morning.

She knows his love for Lightening McQueen so she drew one on his shirt and one in her hand.

Precious. They are holding hands. :)

Flashback

Benjamin and I in college?

Punishment

Yes. I did leave them there for 20 minutes.

I told them not to slide down in the crack or they would get stuck. I think not being able to move for 20 minutes was enough punishment for them. ;)

Random Pictures from PePaw's Camera

PePaw got Emma Claire this swing set when she was small. On the bottom right she is posing a fall. She remembers when she was small falling off the back of the swing and us snapping a picture of her. I think it's hilarious that she remembers. : )

It's always fun to play on PePaws motorcycle!

Bottom Right: This is something PePaw would have NeVeR let me do! The kids were running back and forth letting his trailor pop them up and then back down. I could hear them screaming from inside the house. They were having a blast!

Passion Play 2013

One of the biggest things we miss being a part of back home is the Passion Play. It takes weeks to prepare and there is tons of hard work that goes into the program. I have so many fond memories being apart of this production. As a child I was apart of the hosanna kids and was also portrayed as the dead child one year. Then as an adult I was able to take part in the singing and choreography. Benjamin has also taken part in the program for years by running sound, singing, and portraying Joseph, Jesus' father.

Emma Claire and I were ecstatic when we found out the the program was going to be going on while we were in town. For the entire week we went every night and watched the rehearsals and were actually able to take part in it a bit.

On Thursday night for the dress rehearsal my Uncle Lee, which is my Godfather, drove over from Alabama to watch it with us. It was so, so good to see him and be able to catch up with him for a while. I so wish my children were able to grow up close to him.

Ooh, did I forget to mention that I did play violin in the orchestra for a short time! Don't even ask me to get it out because I couldn't play a single note now. : )

Notice the Pharisee on the left? That's PePaw! Bottom Right: That is Uncle Brandon playing Joseph of Arimathea!

GG is in that crowd somewhere, too. I never could find her so she must be hiding in the back. : )

I love looking through all this pictures and seeing faces that are so dear to us.

Bottom Right: That is cousin Ritchie playing the Pharisee and cousin Hayden playing the little boy.

Cousin Reid is the tall solider!
I have to say I thought he did the best on his acting. : )

Great acting, PePaw!!

Aren't these pictures just heart wrenching? I cried every performance.

They are singing God of All God's in these scenes. It has to be my favorite all time song.

Guess who got to take part in heaven!!
Emma Claire missed her Easter program at school so we could go to MS, but I think getting to take part in the Passion Play made up for that. She was thrilled!

Bottom Right: Some of the cousins; Ginger, April, Mallie, Emma Claire, & Hayden.

Make my heart swell. : )

Not the greatest picture of the banners but some of them have been in the program since I was a small child. They bring back very fond memories for me.

Ah, I remember when little Will was born. He did a wonderful job singing the little choir boys part.

This is Reid carrying the cross that has been in the program since I was a little girl.

So thankful that I got to spend some special time with my Uncle Lee!

So thankful for Bro. Jim, Mrs. Carol, & Jon and all their hard work preparing the program. They did such a wonderful job and soooo many lives will be touched through this portrayal of Christ's death, burial, and RESURRECTION.

It's the greatest story of LOVE!
