End of the Year School Picnic

Emma Claire's school had an end of the year picnic for the children and families to enjoy. We had a great time playing with all her friends!

We ended up having to move our picnic inside because of the chance of rain.

 We found the craft table and made a cool visor hat.




We finished our day with taking a visit by the snow cone table. Believe it or not, she did not spill a drop on her!

Our best friends since we have been at Southeastern have been the Parker's. The first of June they will be moving to Waco, TX to finish school. We will sure miss you!! We love them soooo much!!

The girls got so tired they crashed in the dollhouse Ross and Katie were selling.

They were so crushed when they got up the next morning and realized we had sold all the toys they had been playing on the nite before.

 For dessert we had chocolate chip cookies. Messy!!! For some reason Leah didn't get quite as messy as Emma Claire.

A Funny Moving Story

I had forgotten this funny story until today and wanted to post it before I forgot it again.


When we moved into our new home Emma Claire had stayed with some friends all day so she didn't get to see all the moving. When we got home she went straight to bed so she didn't notice all the boxes sitting around.

The next morning I got her up out of the bed and let her walk into the living room by herself to discover all the mess. When she walk into the room this huge look of excitement came across her face! She was so excited! She let out a loud squeal and said, "Boxes! Thank you, RaRa! Thank You!!" She was so excited because she thought that RaRa had sent her those boxes and they had prizes in them. I got so tickled and it killed me to explain to her that they were just boxes with our stuff in them and not treats for her. I couldn't believe how excited she got over seeing all those boxes. I never want to forget the look on her face when she walked into the living room. So Sweet!!

Aw . . love that journal. RaRa loves sending you little prizes in the mail. Excitement AND appreciation, that always gets the next box on the way! :) You are RaRa's baby!! I love you!

Getting Ready For Vacation

Next week we will be going to Florida for our annual vacation with Dan & Erin Schafers. Emma Claire is sooo excited that she can hardly stand it. When you ask her about where we are going she will say....


"Ya know what!?!?! Ya know what!?!?! We goin to da beach. See fish, and water, and sea shells! They special sea shells. I no throw em. It not scare me. I be with Mommy & Daddy. I gonna ride on aaaaaiiiiiiii-pane. It not scare me. I be with Mommy & Daddy. We gonna ride wave runner. It not scare me. I be with Mommy and Daddy. I see aaaaalllllllllooooooootttttttt of water."

She will go on and on rambling about the whole vacation!! I hope she has a blast! While we are there we plan to take her to an Aquirium as an extra treat just for her. : )

Have a GREAT time on your vacation! I have no doubt that Mommy and Daddy will take extra good care of you . . . sounds like you know that too!! :) We love all of you and hope you get to see and do aaaallllooootttt of stuff! Discipline for the Babies

So, Emma Claire has turned the discipline over on her babies. The other night we were sitting in the living room and this is what we heard.


"Baby, you disobeyed. You go in your room and get a spank. Sit in chair til you done cryin. " Then she shuts the door and walks to the living room. Emma Claire turns to Benjamin and says "Baby not obey. I spake her. I go get her now."

We hear Emma Claire walk into her room and say "Baby, you ready to obey? It's okay. Come on."

She walks back into the living room and tells Benjamin to talk to her baby. He said, "Emma Claire now that you have spanked baby you need to love her and tell her you love her."

Next thing we know she turns back around, heads down the hall and says "She needs another Spake! I be back."

New Treats For Our Baby Boy

I wanted to update everyone on some things that we have gotten for our sweet baby boy!!!


Mommy and Daddy got him his bedding! Of course Daddy wanted it to be a sports theme. It was his turn to pick everything out! : )

And Grandpa and RaRa got he and Emma Claire a Double Stroller which also turns into a Sit-N-Stand Stroller. We already use it and LOVE IT!!

I know that he will be getting lots more things so I will keep you posted on all his new TOYS!! : )

Strawberries May 2009

Emma Claire got to go with Mommy's class on our Field Trip to the Strawberry Patch. She thought she was something else being with the BIG Kids! : )
