Thank You, Kathy Williams!!

We have the best realtor ever! Kathy sent us a surprise gift card in the mail as a thank you for some referrals we sent her way!

We decide since sissy was gone to a sleepover it was a good time to hang out with our boys!

Charleston Here We Come!!

We were SO excited to make a quick trip down to Charleston to visit our best friends, the Parkers,  and one of our favorite cities over the weekend! It's been months since we've been to Charleston and over a year since we've seen our buds all at one time so you can imagine the excitement in the car on the way down. : )

And you can't go south without taking a picture of South of the Border. You just can't.

See my little reader back there?! She has just gotten into reading and read through an entire Boxcar Children book on our way there and back. So thankful she has a stomach of steel and no car sickness!

One of our first stops is always to eat at Charleston Crab House and watch the boats as they pass by. The lifting bridge is always a highlight for the kids!

Side note here: Charleston Crab House has ALWAYS been our favorite stop in Charleston to eat. 1. Because of it's scenery on the water and 2. Because of the yummy food. However, this time we were all disappointed. The food was just not great. They stopped serving our favorite she-puppies and coconut shrimp and they started charging just to get plain hushpuppies. Wha??? We also decided that our meals were just mediocre for what we paid for it. If it weren't for the view, that stop would have been a total bust. Anyway...on to the awesome trip!

Quick trip to Uncle Ross' new office on the Charleston Southern campus. How many kids do you think he can get into his office?!

I just loved the beautiful water they had in the middle of their campus. All the buildings surrounded the water.

Can't tell you how much we enjoyed our friend time. We can totally be ourselves, relax and just enjoy life.  The kids get along great so we get lots of hanging out time which is rare!

Ah!! We also got to go walk around at my favorite spot at the downtown markets. I don't know that I have ever bought anything but I just love the atmosphere SO much!

More pics to come as I get them from Katie! : )

Another Great Day for BASEBALL!

I spy my boy on 1st base!

Not sure if you can tell but that is Camp on 2nd base and is best buddy, Easton, playing center field. It was all we could do to keep them from talking and to pay attention to the game. : )

Strawberry Pickin' 2015

If you haven't gone to pick strawberries in North Carolina then your missing out! And Vollumer Farms in Bunn is by far the best place to go and we've tried several. What makes it even better?? All of their strawberries are organic! YUM!

Their play place is pretty rockin', too!

Clean or not clean we may even test taste a few of them while we are picking! : )

Notice everyone is in red?? Yup, we usually end up wearing a lot of red juice so this is the best way to help momma out on the laundry. : )

Between us and the Battles crew we took home a few strawberries. ; )

I hope we have enough yumminess to last us until next year!

These Girls!!

These girls are always finding something to get into everyday! I mean who doesn't need to lay out and get a suntan at 7/8 years old while reading books?!

One Step Closer!

One step closer to becoming foster parents! Finger prints: Done!

Meet in the Street

Every year the town of Wake Forest holds their annual Meet in the Street. I really wish I had taken a picture of the whole event itself because it's pretty incredible. They have one whole street lined with probably 100 art and crafts vender tents, another street lined with food trucks and another street lined with activities for all ages.  They also have a large stage set up where they host different types of entertainment.

There is always something special for the kids like running into Elsa & Ana or getting to hop inside a real ambulance.

Or a FIRETRUCK!

Emma Claire loved hopping in and getting to participate in some Tae Kwon Do. She 'thinks' she might like to try it out one day! : )

And when at Meet in the Street you usually always run into friends which makes things more fun!

One highlight was getting to participate in the obstacle course the firemen set up.  They really made it exciting for the kids and had fun with them which made them feel super special and like they were doing something BIG.

Considering Camp would love to be a fireman when he grows up you can only imagine his excitement when he got to spray the real water hose.
