God is the 'Great Fixer'

As Emma Claire grows we can see her way of thinking grow too. She is learning that God is in control and we must thank Him for all things and that we ask Him for His leadership and guidance. In her own way and at random times she will say, “Thank You, God, for…,” so and so. Most of the time if she has gotten a new toy, or if something is broken and we fix it for her, she will then thank God. In her mind if something is broken God is the ‘Great Fixer’. : ) Here are two cute stories that we have heard from her recently:

*One night Emma Claire, Camp, and I were playing in the living room and Emma Claire decided that she wanted to brush my hair and fix it. As she was playing with my hair she went to brush Camp’s hair too. I quickly stopped her thinking she was going to hurt him and said, “Emma Claire, Camp doesn’t have any hair for you to brush.” She turned to me and said, “Well, we will have to ask God to get him some.”

*In Emma Claire’s bathroom she has a reward jar we use to keep her from waiting until the last minute to go potty. One afternoon after she had gone potty she asked to get a treat. I had my hands full holding Camp so I told her she could climb up on the potty and get it off the shelf. As she was reaching for it she accidently knocked it into the floor and it broke. She felt so bad. She turned to me and said, “I’m sorry, Mommy, we will ask God to fix it.”

If we only had her faith.
