As a way to get Emma Claire not to pick up food she has dropped outside and eat it we have told her that it’s okay because the birds or ants will get it and boy is she a quick learner. One night we were eating dinner at home and Emma Claire was playing with her food like she knows she shouldn’t. While she was playing she dropped some of it on the floor and quickly looked at us to see if she was going to get into trouble. She could tell by the look on our face that she was about to get scolded and said “its okay, Mommy, the lizards will get it”. Now tell me, how do you scold a child when they were so quick on their feet to come up with that response?
