Camp's Birthday Request

Camp's only birthday request was to drive a firetruck. Although he couldn't legally do that he did get the chance to play at the fire station!

Back in our hometown in MS, Johnny Butler, who is a family friend is the local fire chief. When mom told him of Camp's request he told us to bring him on down and he would show him the ropes.

Camp was in heaven! Johnny let him climb all over the truck and also get a tour of the station.

You can't go to the fire station without sliding down the fire pole! ; ) Even the big kids got involved!

A little fitness in the weight room!

Johnny also pretended like they got a fire call and began dressing Camp quickly to get ready for the fire. Camp thought it was hilarious!

He told him to 'come on, boy, there's a house burning down, you can go faster than that!!'.

Before we left he even got to get up in the big new truck and pull the siren. Camp wasn't prepared for how loud it was going to be and it scared him a bit. However, he talks big about being able to do it now though. : )

Thanks, Chief Johnny, for making his birthday request come true! He had an absolute blast!!
