It's a little less than an hour from our home and has no cable, no internet and no cell service. A little bit of heaven for the weekend.
Zeus enjoyed the trip, too, with his nice comfy paper towels. : )
This little convenient store was the closet store there was to get supplies. It was SO cute and was built back in the 1870's. But they had everything you would need as far as staples and even had yummy homemade cheese. BQ loved their bologna sandwiches which was made in house. ; )
For whatever reason it turned off cold that weekend but it didn't stop the kids from enjoying the lake water!
I still can't believe how much EC loves the water.
There was lots of time to be lazy, enjoy the view and enjoy each other's company. Great family time!
(And no, we don't watch Glee...the puzzle was already there. ; )
Since my birthday was coming up that Monday we drove to the nearest town and had dinner at Applebee's one night. It was perfect for the kids because it was clown night!
They were pretty excited about their new hats! So thankful for this weekend away with my loves!
