Thanksgiving 2010

Boy have we been busy over the Thanksgiving break between having company, stomach bugs, Camp's first haircut, cooking a 'feast' : ), black Friday shopping, and all the things in between.

We were so glad that RaRa and PePaw got to keep tradition and got to come here for Thanksgiving break. Uncle Bruce and Kalei even got to drive down from Virginia Beach and stay a couple days, too! We also invited our neighbor Mrs. Ray over to enjoy all of this yummy food that RaRa cooked. I did make two things. : ) Just look at all that yumminess. My mouth is watering all over again. : )

A couple of years ago Benjamin started a tradition of at Thanksgiving Dinner we go around the table and starting at the letter 'A' we telling something that we are thankful for. Of course he starts with letter 'A' and says Ashley and then I end up with some weird letter like 'X'. Really, who isn't thankful for x-rays, they find great tiny things like kidney stones. : ) (Really it was an ultra-sound, but it's all the same, right?)

The last two years we have made a trip to the outlets in Smithfield, NC the Wednesday before Thanksgiving to take advantage of the early sales they are putting out for Black Friday. A highlight for Emma Claire is to ride the fun rides in between stores.

While the boys watched the Alabama game Camp preferred to watch Blue's Clues on Mommy's phone. : )

While I was cleaning out clothes Camp hitched a ride with Uncle Bruce. : )

Emma Claire kept Kalei busy... from playing games on her ipod (or knee pad as Emma Claire called it : ) to playing princess dress up.
We had such a wonderful Thanksgiving break and have sooooo many things to be Thankful for. One of the things at the top of the list, FAMILY.

  1. LOVED our family time. We so enjoyed our Thanksgiving Trip. Thank you for everything. We began missing you the minute the plane took off. Counting down the days to Christmas. We love you all VERY much.
