First Babysitter & Getty Concert

Last night we paid for our first 'real' babysitter! We have traded off babysitting with friends and of course used grandparents when they are here, but we have never had someone come over that we paid. Being that Christmas is our favorite time of year and we love The Getty's, Benjamin made plans a month ago for us to have a date night tonight and go hear them in their Christmas concert at Southeastern Seminary. You know he was serious about this date when he said that he would pay someone to come babysit so we could go. My job: get the babysitter. I knew exactly who to ask, Sarah Faucettte. I have worked with Sarah for years at Little Lambs and this year she is dually enrolled as a high school student, but also taking classes at Southeastern.

Sarah is the one on the right.

Emma Claire was very comfortable with her because she has been around her at school and she is wonderful with kids. Emma Claire and Camp had a great time with her and she did wonderful with them. When we got home everyone was sound asleep in the bed. : )

And we had a great time, too!! First we went to a reception for the Board of Visitors and had yummy h'orderves and then walked down a candle lite path to the concert. The Getty's were amazing! Just the smoothness of her voice and the message she portrayed in her songs was so moving. We even ran into some of our sweet friends too!

Me and Stephanie Lyon. Such a wonderful, wonderful example and great friend.
